Conversations like these help me reconnect with my deep love of education. I have scarcely been happier than when I was in college, continuously challenged intellectually and always learning. I am moved somehow by discussions like these and am left with a longing to revivify my own intellectual life. Intersubjectivity, liminality, interactionism- are like courses in a favorite meal not eaten for far too long. I think my mind is hungry. Thank you both.

That is why Race is a group within the human species that are identified by society as presumably having certain biologically inherited physical characteristics that are the concept of race. And we all live in the world but social is very important that this why I decided to become a social worker in order to know more.

Comment on Shai Dromi reads Luc Boltanski by Jim Conley https://thesocietypages.org/theory/2021/01/06/shai-dromi-reads-luc-boltanski/#comment-172 Sat, 30 Jan 2021 17:45:03 +0000 https://thesocietypages.org/theory/?p=195#comment-172 Shai Dromi’s two podcasts are a good primer on Luc Boltanski’s work. But it’s too bad that Thévenot’s role is downplayed (especially by the host), and the whole network of people doing French pragmatic sociology is not even mentioned. Dromi’s 2010 article with Eve Illouz, “Recovering morality: pragmatic sociology and literary studies” (New Literary History 41, 2: 351-369) is a useful supplement.
Also in this podcast, when Shai Dromi refers to Boltanski’s “On denunciation” he says that he studied “thousands” of letters to the editor of Le Monde. Actually it was 275 letters, and they were to what might be called the investigative journalism department of Le Monde. (Pardon my pedantry.)

I know that she has been working with a young generation having an aim to make them inspired, motivated in education, art, and their contribution to society. She got many appreciations on her conducted research about youth education. She observed their way of spending time, way of speaking even their writing style. Because writing style is something, by which an individual can express his/her interior thoughts in a formative and structural way. For more writing tips and guidelines, you could check this out, even they have some assignment writing sample ideas for understanding more better about it. Thanks again for sharing her inspirations.

For me, Du Bois lays a foundation for developing personal applications to navigate how I see and then act in the phenomenon that is American and create attempts to living a “full” existence as a human of African descent. Love the historical context this interview uncovers and highlights. Thank you Dr. Grundy and Mr. Green
